Blank Radio's "Jeanette Rankin" is unique in that although it is comprised of multiple sessions, the album revolves around two mostly string groups giving the album a decidedly more organic twist from earlier releases. The double bass configuration of Dave Gelting and Evan Paydon dominates four of the eight tracks and brings a new twist to the improvised song forms. The remaining tracks are from more traditional band settings save for the double drums configuration of Peter Treuden and Dave Schoepke on "Vicious Can-Doer" the album has a dark,haunting, cinematic feel very well suited for a horror movie soundtrack.
